1. Who We Are

ClockIt-BillIt (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a web-based time tracking and invoicing application available at clockitbillit.com. For privacy-related inquiries, you may contact us at apps@clockitbillit.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

• Account information — your name and email address, provided at registration or via Google sign-in.
• Time entries — dates, start and end times, project names, hourly rates, and any notes you enter.
• Client and project data — names, addresses, and contact information you provide for your clients.
• Invoice data — invoice numbers, amounts, payment status, and any notes or terms you include.
• Payment records — amounts and dates of payments you record against invoices. We do not collect or store credit card numbers or banking details.
• Usage data — standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, used solely for security and diagnostics.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to operate the service:

• Providing and maintaining your account and its data
• Generating invoices and reports on your behalf
• Sending transactional emails (account verification, invoice delivery, subscription notices)
• Processing subscription payments via our payment processor (Stripe)
• Diagnosing errors and maintaining service security

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

4. Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google as part of the OAuth authentication process. We do not receive access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or any other Google services. Your Google credentials are never stored by us.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. If your subscription expires, your account enters a read-only state — your data is preserved and remains accessible. We do not delete your data due to non-payment or account inactivity.

If you request account deletion, you may do so at any time from your account settings page. All data is permanently removed immediately upon confirmation.

6. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to operate ClockIt-BillIt:

• Stripe — payment processing for annual subscriptions. Stripe handles all payment card data. We never see or store your card details. Stripe’s privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in method. Governed by Google’s privacy policy.
• Hostinger — web hosting provider. Your data is stored on servers operated by Hostinger.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie contains no personal information and is deleted when you log out or close your browser. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

ClockIt-BillIt is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify users by email and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
