These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ClockIt-BillIt. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. The Service
ClockIt-BillIt is a web-based application for tracking billable hours and generating invoices, available at clockitbillit.com. The service is operated by ClockIt-BillIt and intended for use by freelancers and independent contractors.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the service. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at apps@clockitbillit.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
One account per person. You may not share your account or transfer it to another individual.
4. Subscription and Payment
ClockIt-BillIt is a paid service at $39 per year, following a free trial period. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file for the annual subscription fee.
- Free trial periods are granted at registration and do not require a payment method.
- Subscriptions are billed annually and do not auto-renew automatically at this time.
- If your subscription expires, your account enters read-only mode. Your data is preserved.
- Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Your Data
All time entries, invoices, client records, and other content you create in ClockIt-BillIt belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership over your data.
We will not delete your data due to subscription expiry or inactivity. If you choose to delete your account, you may do so from your account settings page and all data will be removed immediately.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its servers
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the service
7. Intellectual Property
The ClockIt-BillIt name, logo, design, code, and all associated materials are the intellectual property of ClockIt-BillIt. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Use of the service is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClockIt-BillIt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including but not limited to loss of data, lost revenue, or business interruption.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings page, or by contacting us at apps@clockitbillit.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
Upon account deletion, all your data is removed immediately and permanently.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
